About
modHERO began in 2009 in New York City as a design experiment, combining elements of classical portraiture, mid-century design and geeky fan culture in a unique pop-art series that was popular both online and at comic cons nationwide.
Today, artist Josh Siegel is working in Los Angeles, creating even more mind-blowing art. His new series of XMandalas explore a whole new way of viewing archetypal heroes. Kaleidoscopic patterns made from the pages of old comics dizzy the viewer into a pseudo-spiritual deconstruction of the superhero, and inspire meditation on the compelling visual legacy of comics.
